"Not in Service", a collection of works by British photographer Stephen Gill. Partly due to the influence of his father who was a photographer, Gil learned to print in the darkroom from a young age, and was interested in the nature and insects around him. A genuine photographer who started working for a Bristol photography company in his middle and high school days and has already become a full member of Magnum Photos in his mid-20s. However, he quickly left Magnum in search of more free photographic expression, and instead of entering the commercial world, he devoted himself to his creative activities. He is a photographer who continues to pursue originality and new creative expressions by incorporating new elements from various angles such as concept, camera used, shooting style, subject selection, printing method, etc. This is a collection of works published at the exhibition held at the photography museum "Foam" in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Although it has a simple tabloid appearance, it is a compact summary of Gil's career so far.
