"Michi" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Yoshimasa Taguchi. Born in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1949, dropped out of university and entered Tokyo College of Photography. From the 1970s to the 1980s, Yoshimasa Taguchi has presented his works at "Gallery OWL" and "FROG" in Yotsuya, starting with the exhibition at "Photo Gallery PUT", which was called the Little Gallery. In "Pyro Photos Annual", a collection of works mainly composed of members from OWL published around 1990, he not only presents his works, but also edits and discusses them. A new photographic expression that sets it apart from Japan's rich photographic history in the 1960s and 1970s is "one person who continued to take photographs while taking a job that had nothing to do with photography" (from the text). Below, from Taguchi's text spelled out in the catalog at the time of the exhibition at PUT, "My job is to clearly fix the object and the structure toward the object in the image (...), we said Yonosuke Natori. We must create a "how to read pictures" that is different from the context. " The works included in this book are all created between 1978 and 1979. Includes an article by Kenji Takazawa, "Anatomy of Landscape-Photographs of Yoshimasa Taguchi". Both English and Japanese.
