This is a photo doujin group created by eight comrades, such as Ihei Kimura in 1930. The exhibition has been repeated almost every year, and before the war two photo books were published. This is a collection of "Portrait Photos of Cultural People" published in 1970. At the time of publication of this book, the center of this group was Tomiso Yoshikawa, one of the founding members. He studied under Kozo Nojima, who made a great contribution to the promotion of pre-war art photography. In 1921, he acquired a photo studio in Nihonbashi from Nojima. After the war, he was a leading art portrait photographer who also established and operates the Japan Portrait Photography Artists Association. This book also begins with portraits of famous writers such as Yoshitsumi Minamitsu, Naoya Shiga, Junichiro Tanizaki, etc. Muneyoshi Yanagi, Yukio Mishima, Taro Okamoto and others will also appear.
