"Situation 1966 / Jokyo 1966" is a collection of works by the amateur photo group "All Japan Student Photographic Federation" led by Tatsuo Fukushima, who is one of Japan's leading art critics and also a photograph critic. Each student belonging to the student photo federation of Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu has been mainly engaged in "joint" production, not "individual", but that kind of activity has become a skeleton. Again, returning to the starting point that each individual shoots with his or her own awareness of the issues, "Situation 1965" and this book "Situation 1966" were born in a series called "campaign". It is composed of quoted texts such as "Monthly Table", "Newspapers / Magazines", and even the photo book "Nagasaki" by Tomatsu Lighting, and photographs taken by students, 60-70% of the total. It is a photo illustration. Fukushima's "Challenge to Delirium-From '66 to '67 / What is Concrete Thinking (Introduction)" is included at the end of the book. And this campaign will eventually result in a series of actions such as "Hiroshima" and "There is no nation on this earth" (pollution problem).
