A collection of works by Japanese female photographer Toshiko Hashimoto, "Kichimu Flies at Night". Born in Tochigi Prefecture in 1972, he became interested in photography since he got his twin-lens reflex camera from his father when he was a high school student. In 2017, he participated in "Gallery Nieps," led by Japan's leading photographer Takehiko Nakato, and held a solo exhibition, "Kichim flies at night" in the same year. This book is the first book of works of the same name published by Fugensha the following year. The daily life that has been with her daughter since the birth of her eldest daughter is spelled out in black and white. Content that sets it apart from the family photos that contain the records. "Kichim" is a word suddenly uttered by a child, and when we follow its meaning, we get to "Yoshimu" (= Engi, an auspicious dream). It may have been a statement of happiness that the child will deliver to his family and carry on.
