The seventh issue of “main”, a photo magazine published in the 90s by Japan's leading female photographers Miyako Ishiuchi and Asako Takahashi. From the mid-1970s, when the momentum of photo magazines such as cameras every day disappeared, “off-magazine”, which is not a photo-deletion magazine, progressed, and photographers started their own galleries or created photo books with self-published publications. The flow of publishing has come out. It was also an expression of the desire to go beyond the boundaries of the requested work, to do whatever they want without restriction, and to freely present and express their work. Ishiuchi, who participated in various exhibitions in Japan and overseas from the 1980s to the early 1990s, was interested in the recording of “paper media” from the late 90s, and he was young at the time of 49 years old. We created this magazine in a combination. In addition to the illustrations taken by Ishiuchi and Takahashi under the theme of “Okinawa”, this issue is also attended by Keiko Nomura as a guest. After all, the works of Ishiuchi Miyako, which is a city with traces of the United States, is wonderful and portrays the history of the past, the atmosphere and smell that it exudes.
