One of the leading Japanese painters in the 20th century, Kenichiro Inokuma. Born in Kagawa Prefecture in 1902, studied Western art at Takeshi Fujishima at Tokyo Art School, and was elected to the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts Exhibition from a student age, and his talent has been recognized as a young man. Taking a position different from the way, in 1936 formed the New Productions Association (now the New Production Association), and attracted attention as a modernist, Kenichiro Inokuma. After that, I moved on to work in Paris, New York, Hawaii and other locations. In 1991, the Ichiro Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art opened in Marugame, and then died in 1993. The photographers Ogura Yuji and Honma Takashi create books that have been taken from the collection of the Inokuma (toys, folk crafts, etc.), but they can also be said to provide a variety of inspiration even after their death. This book is a pictorial record of an exhibition held at the Konichiro Contemporary Art Museum, commemorating the 100th anniversary of Toinuma. It collects works from the early to the late years, and you can see the transition of the style from time to time, as well as a part of the Inuma collection.
