"adrenamix (Signed)" is a photo collection by Okinawa's leading photographer, Ryuichi Ishikawa. Born in 1984, Ishikawa devoted his middle and high school years to boxing. After entering university, he became fascinated with photography after finding a broken camera at a recycle shop and began self-studying. In 2010, he began studying under photographer Tetsushi Yuzaki. Since that same year, he has continued his active career, holding exhibitions and self-publishing photo books. In 2012, he won the Shimizu Honorable Mention Award at the New Cosmos of Photography for "Okinawa Portraits." In 2014, he published two photo books, "Okinawa Portraits 2010-2012" and "A Grand Polyphony," both published by Akaaka Art Publishing, and won the 40th Kimura Ihei Photography Award with Kotori Kawashima. This book, a prologue to the two 2014 books, is comprised of Ishikawa's early work, both color and black-and-white snapshots. The book contains a number of vivid photographs that capture Ishikawa's daily life in his early twenties, including "scenes of biker gangs tearing through the night, club scenes, and the door to sex" (from the publisher). The book can also be read as a document of a young man confronting society and dealing with conflict and frustration. Signed by the photographer .
