A photo book "Metropolis" of photographer Taisho Ishimoto, a world-class photographer in Japan. A prominent American photographer, Minor White, saw the work of Yasuhiro Ishimoto, saying that "the characteristics of Japan, the US and Germany are mixed". Born in San Francisco, grew up in Tosa, Japan, and studied photography for Harry Callahan and Aaron Shiskine at the New Bow House in Chicago, where he enjoyed the flow of the Bauhaus in Germany. The style that I learned in the New Bow House, "to look at the object without being bound by the existing concept", can be fully enjoyed even in the "Metropolis", which corresponds to the 8th volume of the contemporary series of images. This book was shot around the seaside of Shonan where Tokyo and the residence were located from 1962 to 711, and it has a perfect style with no gaps like "one day," "Chicago, Chicago". Although it is different, it is a book that offers a glimpse of another attractive side of the moderately playful Ishihara Yasuhiro.
