A photo book "West & East" by Masaya Nakamura, one of Japan's leading photographers. Like Nobuyoshi Araki, he worked as a freelancer after working at the Faculty of Engineering at Chiba University (at that time, Tokyo College of Industrial Arts), then at the Yomiuri Shimbun, World Film Company, and Movie Star Company. Starting with news photography, he has worked on graph photography, commercial photography, and women's photography to establish "Grammer Photo" that depicts the fascination of women. After that, he established himself as a photographer with the pronoun "nude" as the main battlefield. In 1957, under the leadership of critic Tatsuo Fukushima, along with Yasuhiro Ishimoto, Shomei Tomatsu, Kikuji Kawada, Eikoh Hosoe, Ikko Narahara, and others, the arrival of a new era of photography that set it apart from conventional realism photography. Masaya Nakamura became one of the members of the historical exhibition "10 Eyes". This book is a collection of works published by Camera Mainichi in 1969, and contains many color and monochrome nude illustrations.
