A photo book of Kiyoshi Suzuki, one of Japan's leading photographers, "Hundred Steps, Thousand History / Hundred Steps and Thousand Stories". The circuses and travelers who are born in a small coal mining town in Fukushima Prefecture, who are isolated from the city and who have a hard time in manual labor, gather with them. In such a chaotic world, we discover a glittering world of extra-coloured colors, and a youthful period with the beauty of the virtual world and the vanity. Since then, Kiyoshi Suzuki has explored the relationship between the dream and reality, the world and the self through photography, with "coal mine" as its roots. Including the first work "Flower Song" where such thoughts are expressed purely, the eight works published at the time of life are all private versions except one. I'm a photographer who took a photo for the photo book production, always carried a dummy book, and designed a design and layout. This book is a catalog published in conjunction with a solo exhibition held at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo in 2010, and is a large book with 376 pages of paper size, mainly composed of the above-mentioned major works.
