La Danse is a photo book by David Hamilton, one of the UK's leading photographers. Born and raised in London in 1933, Hamilton cultivated artistic talent while working at an architectural office. After moving to Paris at the age of 20, he worked as a graphic designer and worked in magazines such as Elle. Later, as an art director, he worked at a well-established department store Printemps, and at the same time began taking photographs by himself. Since the 1970s, he has published a collection of works as a photographer, has held many exhibitions, and has also released many video works as a film maker. This book is a collection of works of ballet dancers published in the 70s. This is a book that contains unpublished photos of Soviet Rudolf Nureev, with a number of beautiful illustrations that perfectly match the fantastic soft focus of Hamilton and the elegant dance scenes of women.
