This is the 33rd issue (Autumn/Winter 2010) of the Paris-based fashion and art culture magazine Self Service, featuring Scottish fashion stylist Joe McKenna. Born in Kirkintilloch near Glasgow, McKenna had a strong interest in fashion since he was a boy, and at the age of 9, he was a born fashionista who studied outfits by using windows as mirrors. He moved to London at the age of 16, and later to New York, where he worked for Vanity Fair and other publications before going freelance. His representative works include styling Azzedine Alaïa, and his collaboration with Bruce Weber on Calvin Klein images and visuals. McKenna recently released a documentary on Alaïa, his first video work. This issue introduces McKenna's styling in collaboration with supermodel Stella Tennant, as well as many collaborations with Bruce Weber, his close friend. It is a valuable book.
