"La Dolce Vista" is a collection of works by French photographer Claude Nori (1949-). Having begun his career in the 1970s, Nori has built an intimate and lyrical photographic world, focusing on themes of youth, love, travel, and women. In 1974, he founded the photo publishing house Contrejour in Paris, making a significant contribution to French photographic culture not only as a photographer but also as a publisher who has released many excellent photobooks. Known particularly for his deep affection for Italy, he has captured the Mediterranean sunshine, summer beaches, the carefree spirit of youth, and the casual moments of lovers with soft monochrome tones and a natural sense of distance. This book strongly reflects Nori's worldview, depicting the unadorned expressions and gestures of women and the fleeting brilliance of youth through emotionally rich photographs reminiscent of movie scenes. Under a title reminiscent of Fellini's film "La Dolce Vita," this collection of works is filled with Nori's unique romanticism, where sensuality and innocence, happiness and nostalgia for the past, intertwine.
