"Go Mee," a photobook by Japanese actress and model Miwako Kakei (1994-). Kakei, who gained attention after appearing on the reality show "Terrace House" in 2013, has since been active in a wide range of fields including gravure, fashion magazines, television dramas, and films. This is her first photobook in about seven and a half years, released to mark her 30th birthday. The photographer was Masashi Sanai (1968-), known for his works such as "Ikiteiru" and "MAP," who captures everyday scenes and people with his unique sensibility. Aiming for a "new gravure" that differs from conventional gravure, he took photos while traveling to Tokyo, Fukue Island in Nagasaki, Shizuoka, Okinawa, and other locations. The images are a series of shots that convey an intimate relationship between the subject and the photographer, weaving together natural expressions, casual gestures, and the scenery and light of the travel destinations. This is an ambitious work that combines Sanai's unique free photographic expression, which values not only carefully crafted beauty but also the charm of accidental moments and genuine expressions, with a new side of Kakei.
