"Sketches of Tokyo" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Meisa Fujishiro. Born in 1967, after graduating from Meiji University's Faculty of Commerce, he worked as an assistant to Akira Gomi before becoming a freelancer at the age of 23. He made a name for himself with his depictions of the 90s club music scene and young people, and for photographing Mr.Children during their debut, and has been active in the commercial world. Furthermore, he has published many photobooks with numerous famous artists as models, including idols and gravure models in nude portraits. He is married to model Ayumi Tanabe, who has also worked at Paris Fashion Week, and after the birth of their child in 2000, they moved from Setagaya to Hayama. For a time, he showed more talent in writing than in photography, publishing novels such as "Craters and Big Breasts" and "A Love Story Where No One Dies." After that, he also moved to Okinawa, and due to changes in lifestyle, he stepped away from the forefront of photography, but this is the work he created in 2016 after a long hiatus. It is a collection of works featuring nudes of 52 women set in a high-rise hotel in Tokyo. A book in which Fujishiro's theories on nudity and urban studies intertwine. Second edition. Dust jacket missing.
