"Dual 2 (Signed)" is a collection of works by photographer Toshiyuki Yamawaki, who has consistently questioned the very act of "seeing" inherent in the medium of photography. This is the second work in his unique "DUAL" series, which does not present photographs as standalone images but juxtaposes them in pairs, allowing new meanings and emotions to emerge between them. Photographs that seem unrelated at first glance—landscapes, people, still lifes, man-made objects, etc.—are linked by visual resonance in color, form, texture, light and shadow, evoking memories and experiences of each viewer and generating diverse narratives and interpretations.
