Along with "A Certain Day, A Certain Place" and "Katsura," Yasuhiro Ishimoto's photobook "Chicago, Chicago (With OBI & Case Lid)" is considered a masterpiece in the history of Japanese photobooks. This book captures the buildings, signs, people, streets, children, and beaches of Chicago, the city where he studied photography during his time at the New Bauhaus. Thousands of images were carefully selected, narrowing the selection down to just under 200, and then subjected to the difficult and luxurious process of two-color photo printing.
