"Tokyo Biyori (First Edition, Signed)" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki and his wife, Yoko Araki. Their series "Tokyo Biyori," which began in the July 1989 issue of the monthly magazine "Shiso no Kagaku," featured Yoko writing essays while strolling around Tokyo, with Araki taking photographs. However, the series was suspended in the September issue due to Yoko's hospitalization, and she passed away in January 1990. This book consists of the three installments of the series, Yoko's final essay, Araki's memoirs written after Yoko's death, and photographs of Yoko and their beloved cat Chiro, as well as photographs taken by Araki as he traveled around Tokyo alone, searching for traces of Yoko. From the preface, which begins with "My photographic career began with meeting Yoko," Araki's feelings for Yoko permeate every page, and Yoko's absence adds a sense of melancholy to the photographs. The first edition was published in 1993, but this book is in its seventh printing as of 1997, and was made into a film that same year starring actor Naoto Takenaka. This is the final collaborative work between Araki and Yoko. First edition, first printing. Signed by the photographer .
