"Hitozuma Eros (4/X)," a collection of works by Nobuyoshi Araki, one of Japan's leading photographers. Araki's recent works were featured in the June 2024 issue of the magazine "Switch Last Waltz: The Dawn of Photography, The Edge of Photography." These are Polaroid landscapes taken from a hospital bed. Since 2000, Araki has suffered blindness in his right eye, nearly suffered a stroke, and most recently underwent back surgery. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation, but has started taking photographs from his hospital room. Switch's editor-in-chief, Toshiki Arai, encouraged Araki and urged him to continue his work. Switch has featured Araki numerous times in the past, and in the magazine "Shukan Taishu," he has photographed him over 1000 times, and his work has been compiled into more than 20 collections under the name "Hitozuma Eros." These are Araki's characteristic works, capturing the lives of ordinary women in a human way, and beautifully portraying women in a way only Araki could. This is the fourth volume. The obi (paper band) is missing.
