This book is "Labyrinth," a photobook published by Creators in 1991. Creators was a label that served as a platform for Japanese photographer Keiichi Inamine (also known as Osamu Higashikaze) to present his work. Active from the 1980s to the 1990s, Inamine focused on the bodies of young Japanese men, photographing male nudes from a homoerotic perspective, and simultaneously producing photobooks that he edited and published himself. Rather than a typical publishing house, Creators was closer to a private publishing apparatus for the artist's own expression, with a structure in which the work and distribution were integrated. In Japan at the time, where magazine culture was dominant, the presentation of the male body in the form of a photobook was unique, and through a unique aesthetic sense where eroticism and sculptural qualities intersected, it can be said that he shaped a lineage of male nude photography in Japan. This work is credited to both Inamine and Yasuhiro Wakabayashi, and contains many images of beautiful men.
