"Tokyo Diary," a photobook by Japanese photographer Kenji Kasai, also known as "Signed," is a true artist. His father, Akira Kasai, is a renowned dancer and choreographer in the world of avant-garde art. In his teens, he studied at the Rudolf Steiner School in Germany, and at Tama Art University, he majored in architecture and environmental design. He continues to be a leading photographer in commercial, music, nude, and portrait photography. This book is a massive volume containing 380 carefully selected images from the vast number of nude portraits of women, snapshots, and landscapes he has taken since 2017. It shares the same concept, format, and number of images as Kasai's "Signed," also published by Genkosha in 2017. The previous work was shot from 2011 to 2017, and this work was shot from 2017 onwards, resulting in a beautiful book that blends his usual dignified images of women with landscapes.
