"100 Head Pieces (Revised Edition)" is a collection of works by Katsuya Kamo, a hairstylist, makeup artist, and headpiece designer that Japan proudly presents to the world. This legendary hair artist passed away in February 2020 at the young age of 54. From the 1990s, he worked on the hair and makeup for the runway scenes of prestigious collection brands such as Undercover and Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons, and later worked on Chanel's haute couture collections, earning the absolute trust of designers. He is famous for his sculptural headpieces using a variety of materials such as paper, feathers, flowers, metal, mirrors, and latex. In addition to the above, he also collaborated with Fendi and Margiela, and Haider Ackermann praised Kamo as "a dream partner with whom I could work in harmony without exchanging words." This book is a revised edition of a collection of works originally published in 2013 to coincide with the "100 Headpieces" exhibition held at Laforet Harajuku in Tokyo, and was published in 2023 to coincide with an exhibition held at Omotesando Hills after the artist's death.
