"Dog Dance" is a photobook by American photographer Brad Elterman. Elterman shot the punk rock culture scene and celebrity portraits in Los Angeles from the 1970s to the 1980s. From artists like Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Paul Stanley (KISS), and Bob Dylan to celebrities like Madonna and John Travolta, Elterman continued to capture iconic scenes of the era, but he suddenly disappeared in the late 1980s. With the support of those around him, he resumed his work in 2010, and his work is now featured in magazines like Purple. This book, originally published in 2013, was edited and designed by Sandy Kim, a New York-based photographer and a favorite of Ryan McGinley. Kim, a close friend of Elterman, requested this book to be compiled from his archives. Foreword by Olivier Zahm, founder of Purple.
