"Tintin and (With OBI)" is a collection of works by Masashi Sanai, one of Japan's leading photographers. Sanai, who began taking up photography in earnest in the early 1990s, is a unique photographer who has perfected his own style through self-study. While fundamentally different, his approach to capturing seemingly mundane landscapes, as well as his profound insight into his subjects, evokes the highly popular Yoshiko Seino and others. Along with Takashi Homma and Mikiko Hara, who rose to prominence in the same era, they have attracted considerable attention as new generation photographers leading the 21st century. As expected, each of their work continues to enjoy success today, and this is their fourth work, published in 1999. This personal and slightly poetic volume features still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and nudes, all in Sanai's characteristically subdued style, accompanied by unique text. Also featured are Nobuyoshi Araki and Hiromix. Includes dust jacket.
