"London Chasing the Dream (First Edition, With OBI)" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Herbie Yamaguchi. After graduating from Tokyo Keizai University in 1973, he moved to the UK. During that time, he joined the experimental art troupe "Red Buddha," led by musician Tsutomu Yamashita, and performed on stage as a supporting actor in approximately 100 performances per year. In the mid-1970s, he joined the British photography group "Quality of Life," exhibiting his work in the UK and France, while also photographing the thriving rock and punk music scene in London. He shared a boarding house with Boy George when he was still unknown, and was the only Japanese photographer able to capture his private life. In the 1980s, he was recognized by Men's Bigi's Takeo Kikuchi and returned to Japan, where he became active in the world of fashion commercials. This collection features works shot in London from the 1970s to the 1990s. This book condenses the charm of London, from famous artists like Joe Strummer of The Clash and a young U2 to gentlemen, ladies, boys, and girls, all the way to famous artists like Vivienne Westwood. A new edition was published in 2009, but this is the first edition. Comes with obi. (Print not included.)
