Daido Moriyama, one of Japan's leading photographers, presents "Daido Silk (White, Signed)," a collection of his works. This "silkscreen collection" was presented by the Daido Moriyama Photography Foundation at Paris Photo in the fall of 2022, and is bound by Machiguchi Satoru. Moriyama admired Andy Warhol's silkscreens from a young age, becoming so engrossed in them that he neglected his own photographic prints. He exhibited his silkscreens at a gallery in Tokyo, delighting Shuji Terayama, who remarked that they "smell like gasoline." He was also friends with Gerard Malanga, a former member of Warhol's factory and one of his screenprinters, and they once discussed Warhol's Marilyn Monroe silkscreens as being more magnificent than any other masterpiece. This work, featuring a silk cover and full-page silkscreen printing, allows readers to enjoy Moriyama's profound blacks. It comes in both black and white. This is the white cover version. Each color is limited to 500 copies. Each edition is numbered. Signed by the photographer .
