"Crimson Line (Second Edition)" is a photo collection by Australian photographer Trent Park. Alongside Alec Soth and Jonas Bendiksen, Trent Park is garnering global attention as one of the next generation of photographers at Magnum Photos. Born in Newcastle, on the Australian coast, he worked as a newspaper photographer and sports photographer before going freelance. His black-and-white snapshots of Sydney, "Dream / Life," are now considered extremely rare, while "Minutes to Midnight," which depicts the changing culture and people of Australia across 90,000 km, won the Eugene Smith Award in 2003. His 2015 work "The Black Rose" also garnered significant attention, making him a leading figure in the art photography world today. This book is a collection of works depicting the landscapes of his hometown, Newcastle, based on the "color" that Park has been actively creating in recent years. The source of the red-based natural color of the magnificent sky, which changes every day, overlaps with the dye produced by the pigment of the cochineal insect. This book is a homage to Park's nostalgia for his hometown and the wonderful blessings of nature. The first edition sold out in five days, and this is the second edition.
