"100 Head Pieces" is a collection of works by Katsuya Kamo, a world-renowned hair stylist, makeup artist, and headpiece designer from Japan. The legendary hair artist passed away in February 2020 at the young age of 54. Since the 1990s, he has worked on hair and makeup for runway scenes for prestigious collection brands such as Undercover, Junya Watanabe, and Comme des Garcons, and later worked on Chanel's haute couture collection, earning him great trust from designers. He was famous for his sculptural headpieces made from a variety of materials such as paper, feathers, flowers, metal, mirror, and latex, and has also collaborated with Fendi and Margiela, among others, with Haider Ackermann praising Kamo as "a dream partner who could work in harmony without speaking." This book is a collection of works published on the occasion of the "100 Headpieces" exhibition held at Laforet Harajuku in Tokyo in 2013, and also introduces collaborations with the aforementioned brands.
