"The Light That Has Lighted the World (Signed)" is a photo collection by Kiyoshi Suzuki, one of Japan's leading photographers. All but one of the eight photo collections published during his lifetime were self-published. He was an artist who ignored commercial, technical, and time constraints, edited and bound his own books, and continued to be extremely particular about creating photo collections. He created conceptual works by editing outstanding snapshots into meticulous, multi-layered sequences on themes such as recollections, dreams, travel, and literature. Kiyoshi Suzuki's students included well-known photographers who are currently active, such as Osamu Kanemura, Mikiko Hara, and Erika Yoshino, and he also worked as an educator. This is his second book, a collection of works set in India. From the afterword: "(Omitted) In India, humans are by no means conquerors of the world, but humans are also alive on the same earth as animals and plants. (Omitted) I was able to see with my own eyes and feel with my own skin the flow of heaven and earth, god and humans, life and death, and the cosmic life of India."
