"America Revised (Signed)" is a collection of works by Swedish photographer Gary Johansson. Born in 1945, Johansson began taking photographs at the age of 11, and by the age of 15, he was already printing his own photographs. He moved to New York with his family and majored in graphic design at university. He then worked as a graphic designer for nearly 15 years. During that time, he worked for a photography magazine, founded a photography publishing company in the 1970s, and has been active as a photographer since the 1980s. Johansson's signature works are tranquil and profound landscapes, and he has a deep knowledge of Japan, so he has also published a collection of works titled "Ehime." This is a collection of images of "America" that he has been collecting since the 1970s. This is a valuable book with a number of outstanding illustrations, including landscapes reminiscent of Walker Evans, straight photography, and images reminiscent of the New Topographics of Louis Bolz and others. It is the first time that Johansson, who has mainly worked in black and white, has included "color" in his work. Limited to 350 copies. Numbered edition.
