From Back Home is a collaborative photo book by Swedish photographers Anders Petersen and JH Engström. Petersen is a veteran photographer who has been releasing masterpieces for over 40 years since the 1970s, such as Gröna Lund (1973) and Café Lehmitz (1978). Meanwhile, JH Engström is one of the leading figures in the current photography world, having released a number of conceptual works such as Härbärge / Shelter (1997) and Trying to Dance (2003). This book is a homage to the hometown of both Swedish photographers, and is composed of illustrations taken in rural towns. The first half is a somewhat modest monochrome for Petersen, and the second half is a collection of color-based works by Engström. Although the methods of expression are different, there is a sense of similarity somewhere, and the common denominator may be the "love" for their own country. A wonderful collaboration between two rare photographers. No obi. Published in Parr & Badger Vol. III.
