The Gods is a collection of works by Ivor Wigan, a photographer born in Scotland and raised in London. Ivor studied commercial fashion photography in London, and then worked on his own documentary projects in parallel. This is his first book, published by Little Big Man Gallery, a Los Angeles-based gallery that also publishes collections of works by Japanese masters such as Araki, Moriyama, and Keizo Kitajima. This is a powerful book that depicts the underground culture born from African immigrants in southern America. The works, taken in Atlanta, Miami, New Orleans, and other places, depict fragments of black music and culture, and are an overwhelming collection of powerful images. Limited to 350 copies. Includes edition number.
