This is a set of five books, including issues 1 to 5 of the "Absolute Temperature of Nakedness" special feature that was published irregularly in the 1980s and 1990s by BRUTUS, a lifestyle information magazine for men. To commemorate the fifth anniversary of the founding of BRUTUS, the September 15th issue of 1985 featured "The Art of Absolute Nude," which was repeated three years in a row in 1986 and the autumn of 1987. After a gap of several years, it was repeated once each in 1994 and 1995, for a total of five issues. The special feature was compiled in the late 1980s, when photography began to be recognized as art and contemporary art, and also in a unique period when, as fashion became more casual, intimate nudes began to appear more in addition to the traditional nudes of models with well-toned bodies and well-dressed outfits. This is a very significant feature, and the art direction of issues 1 to 3 was done by Tsuguya Inoue (the master who also did the art direction for Comme des Garçons and the design for Rie Miyazawa's Santa Fe), making it a very interesting read. There are also many interesting images, such as a young Wolfgang Tillmans and a portrait of Masahisa Fukase by Miyako Ishiuchi.
