Body Loud! is a photobook by Ryan McGinley, one of the leading contemporary American photographers. Born in New Jersey in 1977, McGinley had aspired to be an artist or musician since he was a teenager, and after studying graphic design at Parsons, he turned to photography. Influenced by Larry Clark and David Armstrong, he created works based on street subculture motifs, and his self-financed work The Kids Were Alright attracted the attention of industry insiders, and he held a solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art at the youngest age in history, beginning McGinley's American Dream. After that, through a trip across the United States, he changed his style to unrealistic staged photography with the backdrop of nature, creating a "utopia." This book is a catalog of works published on the occasion of an exhibition held at Tokyo Opera City in 2016.
