This book is a collection of texts written by Berlin-based author Walter Aue, who is also known as a promoter of conceptual art, about blind photographer Evgen Bavcar, titled "Am Ende des Lichts - Die Fotografien des Blinden Evgen Bavcar". The English translation is "At the end of the light: The photographs of the blind Evgen Bavcar". At the age of 11, he was stabbed in the eye by a branch while climbing a tree and lost his sight. After undergoing intensive rehabilitation, he began taking photographs to photograph his girlfriend at the age of 16, and after studying art and philosophy at the Sorbonne University, he continued to take photographs while working at the French National Center for Scientific Research. The photographer who continued to live in the darkness finally found a ray of hope, and that was photography. Aue has held many solo exhibitions of Bavcar's work and has introduced him to many media outlets. He made a great contribution to his recognition in Europe, and the two men developed a deep friendship. The book mainly features texts in German, but also features many of Bakhčar's unpublished works.
