Gerard Fieret 1924-2009 is a collection of works by Dutch poet, photographer and visual artist Gerard Fieret. Since 2000, numerous exhibitions have been held outside the Netherlands, and Fieret has been re-evaluated. His father abandoned his family at an early age, and it is no exaggeration to say that his roots, growing up in a harsh orphanage, led to his subsequent avant-garde and outsider creative activities. He wrote poetry from an early age, studied drawing and illustration as a student, and after discovering a camera in 1965, he taught himself photography, capturing images from his surroundings. Streets, children, women, buttocks and feet, collages, selfies... His unique images, which are reminiscent of contemporary art and sometimes like stills, are depicted because of his unconventional style. This is a large book of nearly 600 pages published by Le Bal in France in 2016. This is a recommended book for fans of Sanne Sannes, Francesca Woodman, and others.
