"In America" is a photo book by Austrian photographer Ernst Haas. Apart from the founding members (Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and four others), Haas was a pioneer of postwar color photography, having been the first photographer to become a member of Magnum Photos along with Werner Bischoff and later serving as its president. He was also the first photographer to hold a color photography exhibition at MoMA, and his photo book "The Creation" published in 1971 became a huge bestseller, selling more than 350,000 copies. In recent years, many photo books have been published, including the extremely popular "Color Correction" and "New York in Color, 1952-1962," but this book is a collection of works on the theme of "America," published in 1975, four years after "The Creation."
