"The Sky, my Ender" (Shinchosha Publishing) is a collection of works by Nobuyoshi Araki, one of the most representative photographers of the 20th century. Since the death of his beloved wife Yoko in 1990, Araki's works have increasingly been based on motifs such as flowers and the sky, and his style as a photographer has focused on his view of life and death. This book is the collection of works that most clearly depicts Araki's view of life and death in the 2000s. After suffering from prostate cancer the previous year and undergoing surgery, he felt his own death directly for the first time, and from January 2009 he began to paint and collage landscapes of the sky, expressing his feelings. This act continued until August 15th, the anniversary of the end of the war, and this book is a compilation of the series. By the way, the work continued from autumn to the end of the year, and was unveiled at an exhibition held at Taka Ishii Gallery in December, and a softcover collection of works of the same name was also published at the same time. Limited to 1000 copies. Edition numbered and signed by the photographer .
