A photo book by American photographer Lewis Fore. Fore was active in the same era as Saul Leiter, who is also popular in Japan, and his modest, painterly works have something in common with Leiter. He is also a member of "The New York School," a collective name for artists who lived and worked in New York during and after the war, along with Leiter. Since the 1940s, Fore has been active for a long time at Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, and has been friends with Walker Evans and Robert Frank, among others. He shared a darkroom with Frank, spending nights printing, and was an old friend who recognized each other's abilities. Since the 1970s, Fore has taught at Parsons and Yale University, among others, and has also worked as an educator. This book is a catalog of works published on the occasion of an exhibition held at PGI (Photo Gallery International) in 1994. Contains nearly 40 illustrations.
