This book is a photo collection of "Aegean Sea," the first film by Japanese painter, printmaker, sculptor, ceramist, and writer Masuo Ikeda (1934-1997), who created works through a wide range of expressions beyond the conventional framework, and is a tabloid edition published as a special issue of the magazine "Film Pin-up." The art direction of the film was done by Hide Takahashi, known as the "painter of eroticism." It was an unprecedented undertaking for Ikeda and Takahashi, known as the "writer of eroticism," to take on a first film, but it was a popular work that won the Akutagawa Prize, and although it caused controversy, the film was a success. It is a typical Ikeda work that shows a young man being buried in the lust of one woman after another. This work is composed of stills from the Japanese film version (probably photographed by Takahashi) and images by Maurizio Maggi, who was in charge of photography.
