This book is a collection of works published on the occasion of the exhibition "Chic Clicks" held at the Winterthur Museum in Germany and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Boston in the United States in 2002. The subtitle is "Creativity and Commerciality in Contemporary Fashion Photography." Some people have succeeded in the commercial world, starting with art and documentary photography, while others have succeeded in fashion magazines and commercial photography, while continuing their creative activities while valuing free work. There are three types of photographers, and conflicts often arise between artistic and commercial pressures. This exhibition was a meaningful exhibition that introduced both the private and commercial works of about 40 photographers who continue to work in this environment, while thinking about the present and future of fashion photography from various perspectives. The exhibition features a series of fascinating works, from the representative photographers of the time such as Mark Borthwick, Corrine Day, Glen Luchford, Anders Edstrom, and Takashi Homma, to contemporary artists such as Cindy Sherman and Larry Sultan.
