Daisuke Tajima, a Japanese contemporary artist, has published a collection of works entitled "Transcendental Boundary / Beyond the Lines". Born in Nara Prefecture in 1993, he studied sculpture at university and then went to study in Taiwan. He then traveled to Hong Kong and China and began his activities in Asia. He continues to paint ultra-high density, spectacular futuristic cities based on his experiences in Hong Kong and other places, inspired by Japanese manga, anime and even movies from his youth. This is Tajima's first book. "Here, everything is free. You can eliminate the human figure, push aside mountains and overturn the sea. A landscape where only industrial, emotionless things can exist. The dense monochrome space gives me both comfort and anxiety. The infinite world that spreads out in the painting is a mental landscape that embodies the self's interiority, and it is like a kind of metaverse that functions as a place for oneself that is contrary to reality" (from the author's afterword). Published in 2023, second printing.
