A Summer's Day (Softcover) is a photo collection by Joel Meyerowitz, one of America's leading photographers. Since the 1970s, Meyerowitz has been attracting attention as a pioneer of color photography along with William Eggleston. In his early days, he produced color landscape works, making his name with Cape Light (1979) and St. Louis and the Arch (1980), and then firmly established his position with Wild Flowers (1983), a collection of street snaps with a floral motif. In recent years, he has released Morandi's Objects (2016) and Cezanne's Objects (2017), still lifes of the studios and works of master painters such as Morandi and Cezanne, and continues to exude a multifaceted appeal from landscapes, still lifes, and snapshots. This book is a collection of selected landscapes and portraits on the theme of summer, which is Meyerowitz's favorite. Softcover edition in Japanese.
