"Fragment of Everyday Life (Signed)" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Suda Issei. Suda Issei was one of Japan's leading postwar photographers, who passed away in March 2019. Born in 1940, in the 1960s he dominated monthly camera magazines with his same-age friend Araki Nobuyoshi, and even back then he was someone Araki looked up to. Behind the scenes of the postwar high-growth period, many cultures and customs were lost and identities were collapsing, but Suda Issei captured the reality of the situation from a folklore perspective. His magical depictions using 6x6 paper sometimes give the impression of an eerie, otherworldly atmosphere, creating a unique worldview where the everyday and the extraordinary intersect. This book is composed of color snapshots published in Nippon Camera from the 1980s to the 1990s, including "Fragments of Everyday Life," in which he first tackled color with a medium-format camera, and "Provocation of Light" and "Elegy," in the mid-1990s, when he was immersed in Polaroid cameras. Comes with a dust jacket. Signed by the photographer .
