"Family (First Edition, Signed)" is a collection of works by Masahisa Fukase, one of Japan's leading postwar photographers. This book is one of Fukase's masterpieces, along with "Ravens," and like Ravens, it is a masterpiece that was recently reprinted by British publisher MACK. Since moving to Tokyo to attend university in the 1950s, Fukase had not looked back at his hometown of Hokkaido for a long time. In the early 1970s, when he was in his 30s, he returned to his hometown with his wife Yoko at the time and began taking "family photos" at his family's photo studio. This activity continued until 1990, when his father, Sukezo, passed away and the photo studio went out of business. Family photos, which were full of "smiles" and "spice" at the time, with only one person posing nude, gradually lose their "vitality" with old age and family misfortunes, and eventually "death" comes and the family is "dispersed." This is a valuable first edition published by ICP (Inter Press Corporation) in 1991. Signed by the photographer .
