"Stream of Consciousness (White Cover)" is a collection of works by Suzuki Risaku, one of Japan's leading contemporary photographers. The exhibition "Photography and Painting - From Cezanne, Toshio Shibata and Suzuki Risaku" held at the Artizon Museum in Tokyo in spring and summer 2022 is still fresh in our memory, but this book is a catalogue of works published in 2015 for a solo exhibition at the Marugame Genichiro Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art and the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, and is a large book of 250 pages. Like Yoshiko Seino, the act of "seeing" and the resulting "photographs" are the same. Suzuki Risaku continues to focus on the world that is seen not by digital means, nor by the "human eye" that naturally selects and sees only what it wants to see, but by the "human eye through a camera". He also pursues the possibilities of digital and has presented digital works in this exhibition, but this is a wonderful exhibition and catalog that was published with the hope that the photographer and the viewer's "stream of consciousness" will be felt not only by receiving information, but also by their obsession with "seeing". (The "white" cover is a limited edition for the exhibition venue)
