Aschewiese is a collection of works by Swiss multimedia artist Analis Strba. Born in Zug, Switzerland in 1947, she began to actively exhibit her work in the 1990s and later. At that time, she already had three children and five grandchildren, so much of the inspiration for Strba's work was her family. Strba creates her own unique worldview by shooting everyday scenes around her with (digital) cameras and videos, sometimes interweaving her own archives and childhood photos. This book is also full of such an atmosphere, with works such as children sleeping, cityscapes, and family portraits that are somewhat ordinary, but they are somehow dreamlike and draw you into a unique worldview where reality and unreality cross paths.
