Daido Silk (Black) is a collection of works by Daido Moriyama, a leading Japanese photographer. This is a "silkscreen collection" by Machiguchi Satoru, which was presented by the Daido Moriyama Photography Foundation at Paris Photo in the fall of 2022. Moriyama has admired Andy Warhol's silkscreens since he was young, and he became so fascinated that he neglected his original photo prints, and exhibited printed silkscreens at a gallery in Tokyo, where Shuji Terayama said, "It smells like gasoline," and he was delighted. He was also friends with Gerard Malanga, who was once a member of Warhol's factory and one of the people responsible for Warhol's screen printing, and there was a time when they talked about how Warhol's silkscreens of Marilyn Monroe were more wonderful than any other masterpiece. This work, which has silk on the cover and silkscreen printing on all pages, allows you to enjoy Moriyama's deep "black," and the cover is available in two colors, black and white. This is the popular black cover version. Limited to 500 copies of each color. Includes edition number. (Unsigned)
