"Monochrome (With OBI)" is a photo book by Miyako Ishiuchi, one of Japan's leading photographers. In recent years, he has been creating ``color'' works, including ``Frida Kahlo'' and ``Hiroshima,'' as well as ``Infant Clothes'' and ``Sa・Bo・Ten,'' in which he takes close-up shots of his subjects and depicts the texture of the materials in detail. Ishiuchi Miyako is the center of the city. However, the original Ishiuchi was ``monochrome''. The works in his early trilogy are very impressive with their deep contrasts that make you feel as if you can smell the ink. In order to clearly record the ``physiological reactions'' during the shooting, Ishiuchi worked in a darkroom himself, sublimating his own reactions and sensations and completing them as ``works.'' This book is a collection of essays written about Ishiuchi's monochrome works. The appendix ``About Ishiuchi Miyako'' (written and photographed by Yoko Araki) also includes a unique portrait of Nobuyoshi Araki's wife, Yoko, who took a photo of Ishiuchi wearing makeup (photography guidance by Nobuyoshi Araki). . Comes with obi.
